What Is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture treatment is a safe, effective, drug-free therapy in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). It has been proven to be effective to address a wide variety of common ailments and problems. Acupuncture specifically is a needling method that promotes natural healing. The needles stimulate the peripheral and central nervous system to release chemicals which may change the experience of pain, improve energy, and/or influence the body's internal regulating system. With the use of ultra-thin stainless steel needles, the body's vital energy also know as Qi or Chi, is stimulated on acu-points along the body. The needles are typically left for 20-40 minutes to normalize circulation of Qi and blood, thus activating the body's natural healing power.
